In the last week of April, year 4 children travelled back in time to the 1830s at Quarry Bank Mill. They experienced what life was like for the young apprentices who lived there and worked at the cotton mill in the 19th century.
Here some of the children use their ICT and writing skills to imagine what it would have been like to be an apprentice.

Year 6 have been busy using Tynker on an iPad to program repeating polygon patterns. In the last lesson they evaluated the project using Adobe Voice. Here are two examples to watch. Let us know what you think.
Year 3 have been using the well-known story ‘Into The Forest’ by Anthony Browne as the basis for their learning in literacy. Here, they re-tell the story at the end of their learning, using Adobe Voice on an ipad.
Year 4 have been reading ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes. They have used the text to inspire their own descriptions of ‘iron’ characters. In Computing lessons they used their skills to bring writing to life using iMovie and Pic Collage.
